Secondary prevention focuses on specific risk groups. Some examples in this respect include carrying out local prevention projects and participating in prevention and neighbourhood networks and justice in the community projects, in which inter-organisational cooperation is a central element. 
Other organisations with which Halt cooperates include the police, fire services, health authorities, Stichting Delinkwentie & Samenleving (a foundation for the protection of prisoners’ rights), and the juvenile probation service. 

Examples of successful projects are Peer mediation, Go4it and Ouders van Tegendraadse jeugd (‘Parents of unruly youth’).
