Using the national information system, Halt offices give targeted information about the developments surrounding juvenile crime to local authorities, schools and cooperating organisations in their field of activity. They can use the information to develop their own policies.
As Halt offices understand the local and regional problems well, they advise local authorities, schools and other organisations on introducing local and school safety policies.
Advise to schools is also given in the context of the national Safe School project. Halt helps in drawing up school safety plans and carries out projects emanating from problems at a specific school. In a similar fashion, Halt advises at local and community levels and introduces projects for these levels.
